Inter house BB tournament comes to an end with two very exciting games. You would agree with me if you have seen the games. Blah blah blah……
There is for sure going to be an article fairly like this in the next release of “Ping”. So sparing the details about the games for the authors of the newsletter, I intend to write about my experience playing the game – formal style.
I was nervous for the first game considering the fact that this is the first time I was representing agni for an outdoor event. I think it is normal to have that feeling taking into account that I was new to the game and also many people look at you while you play. But I was like, “why should I care man? right now I am in 4th year and it is anyways a fun-fun situation for me”. After undergoing this cognitive process everything seemed to fall in place. I was able to play all the four games. Did you know that playing BB improves your stamina? For the 1st two games I could only manage to play three quarters. But for the last two games I was on the court for the entire game.
Coming to the results, Agni managed to win only one of the four games it played. The last game was a close one though. I made 4 fouls in those 4 games combined and manged to score one basket :D. Well I am a supporting player :). It would’ve been great to win more games but I did not feel bad after loosing. That’s because I enjoyed playing the game more than some other things (these have their own weightage :D) .
But unlike me some people take it very seriously. This is what makes them good players. They like to feel bad when they loose and spend a lot of time in self-introspection, which is by the way considered good for growth in those cliques . A few are so involved that trying to console them is just a waste of your efforts. Coming to me “I don’t generally do that (self analysis….etc etc). Happy-go-lucky defines me most of the time”
I started playing basketball for some unknown reasons :P, but continued because of the encouragement from the co-players. People in our college are very helpful. Especially rahul. He is very good in guiding people to play. He would make a great coach.
Ps 1) Allu arjun’s coiffure in Arya 2 is cool and based on the trailers could tell that the movie is based on office background
Ps 2) Waiting for 3-idiots, the songs sounded fine after first hearing
Ps 3) For those people who are afraid to read Chetan Bhagat’s books after the disastrous “One night at the Call Center”, it is OK to read the “Two States”. It would make a good read.
Ps 4) You should have seen the girls during the climax of the Pruthvi-Vayu game, they were delirious :P. It was fun watching them ;).
